1Life2Love is a Canadian creative haven — a physical warehouse studio offering paint nights, art workshops, birthday parties, and events, alongside an e-commerce store selling original oil paintings and candles.
They approached MK-Way to solve a dual-business challenge: one brand had to seamlessly represent both an in-person creative studio and an online retail experience. Their vision was to promote happiness, encourage disconnection from technology, and foster a community for families and friends to bond over creativity.
The central challenge was reconciling the dual nature of their business — a warm, vibrant in-person studio on one hand, and a polished online store on the other. Both needed to feel like the same brand without one overshadowing the other.
The solution lay in colour. A bold, energetic palette could bridge the joy of the studio experience with the confidence of modern e-commerce — creating a brand that felt equally at home on a tote bag and a Shopify storefront.
We began with deep brand excavation: in-depth interviews with the founders, buyer persona development, competitive analysis, and brand story crafting. This process crystallised the brand's mission — to give people a creative outlet, connect the community, and spread happiness through art.
We developed moodboards capturing a playful, energetic aesthetic — vibrant colours evoking joy and inspiration, modern fonts with a touch of playfulness, and imagery rooted in creative community. This laid the visual foundation for everything that followed.
